A BIG THANK YOU ! To all who helped with our clean-up day yesterday to get ready for our Gospel meeting, which begins next Lord’s Day. And, an extra big Thank You to Bob Hedges for providing the delicious BBQ luncheon for all participants at the workday.  Our buildings and grounds look great with everything left gleaming with a spit-polish shine!

All Young People and the “Young at Heart,” please remember the door-knocking next Saturday, March 29th. Please meet here at the building at 9:15 AM for coffee and donuts and a few instructions on door-knocking and your assignments.  About 9:30 AM we will go tout into the neighborhoods to hand out flyers regarding our Gospel Meeting … and … invite the community to attend.  We will need some adult chaperones to provide transportation and to supervise our younger door-knockers.  So, please come help us if you can.  At noon, all door knockers will be treated to al all-you-can-eat pizza luncheon at one of our local pizza restaurants by David McCain. (PLEASE NOTE: If it is raining we will cancel the door-knocking , but if it is just “newscast” we will still be a GO!)

Next Sunday, March 30th, we will begin our Gospel Meeting through 2nd April, with brother Michael Light, from Bangs, Texas, who will be preaching on the theme: “New Testament Principles From Old Testament Passages.” My prayer is that every member of this congregation will be present for every service, and that you will do all you can to invite and encourage your friends, neighbors, relatives, and associates to attend. Since Michael has been with us before in previous Gospel efforts, most everyone in this congregation knows what a tremendous proclaimer of the Gospel he is, and thus you will not want to miss a single lesson. Granted, he does talk fast – I have only half jokingly stated that Michael Light can preach at the speed of 150 words a minute, with gusts up to 200! However, that just lets him pack more of God’s wonderful Word into every power-packed sermon he shares with us. If you can get your friends, neighbors, relatives and associates to attend just one time, it should be fairly easy to get them to come back to hear every other lesson, because Mike is such an interesting and challenging preacher of God’s Holy Word. So, please make every effort to bring a guest next Lord’s morning, and lets have our building full for a great kickoff to our Spring Gospel Meeting. May God help us to do all we can to make this meeting successful, as we invite, invite, invite, even as the meeting is in progress. Why not start right now, by calling the people within your circle of influence to invite them to attend? Well, if you’re reading this at services, please wait until the service is over to begin calling!                                                                David McCain
